As you babes all know, in everything we do in life, whether it be our careers, our health & wellness, our families, and even in our relationships and with our friends, motivation, success, and inspiration can come and go. Sometimes its hard to stay positive, disciplined, and committed when we don't feel the drive, energies, or desires to do the things we either know we need to be doing, think we should be doing, or even just want to be doing. Recently, I've been trying to re-discover the fire within me that motivates and inspires me to jump out of bed and get to the gym in the morning,
crush my legal work during the work week, and come up with the best creative content I can for you guys . At first I felt like I was struggling as I was getting back into a routine after being sick (I mean seven days out of work and three weeks off from the gym can do that to a girl), but after a week of making excuses and waiting for that motivation to strike, I decided it was time to take matters into my own hands.
I forced myself to think about a time when I felt the most motivated and inspired to do, create, and be the best version of myself. It didn't take long for me to realize that I was surrounded by so much of this positive light and energy at last year's WELL Summit and I left that weekend feeling like I could do and accomplish anything I set my mind to. I quickly pulled out my notebook from the weekend, reviewing my notes, remembering the talks and breakout sessions, and looking over the handouts that had been provided. Suddenly, I started re-gaining that "I can do anything" feeling and I felt that fire reignite within me. Exactly, the reminder and inspiration my body and mind had been craving so badly these last few weeks.
For those of you unfamiliar with WELL Summit or who don't remember the article series I did following the two day event last year, here are links to my three articles series to give you a little more insight into the powerful and eye opening weekend:
For those of you who have been readers of TSC for a while, it should be no surprise that I absolutely loved my WELL Summit experience last year and that I truly viewed it as one of the best decisions and investments that I made in myself and the blog. I also made some amazing friends in the health and wellness space that I couldn't imagine life, both personally and professionally, without at this point. It shouldn't be a surprise either then that I am so excited for this year's event. Who else will I see there?!?
